"My husband, my family, and I want to say all of Hospice as well as volunteers were a beautiful, loving and caring group. We loved each and every one. They made my husband very comfortable and me too! Your caring and loving manners were very important and appreciated by all family and friends. Thanks to all!"

Hospice of Washington County’s staff and volunteers are honored to answer the call of our founders’ early mission. The Hospice was born out of the vision of an exceptional group of people who realized the value of hospice care and wanted it for their families and neighbors. In 1980 they created a small, all-volunteer organization. HWC has grown into an organization employing nearly 100 people and serving over 200 patients a day.
