CAMP HOPE ‘N’ COPE 2017

for grieving children between the ages of 6-13

Camp will be held at Mt. Aetna Retreat Center, 21905 Mt. Aetna Rd.,

Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Camp Hope ‘N’ Cope is a special camp, designed for children who have experienced the death of a loved one or significant loss. Camp Hope ‘N’ Cope is an educational, nurturing, and safe place for children to talk with one another and to learn effective, practical skills for coping with their grief.

 

We will meet at the Hospice of Washington County office, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown at 8:00 am on Saturday morning, where a continental breakfast will be provided. We will take a bus to the campsite to begin our fun-filled plans. We will return by bus to the HWC office at 9:00 pm for pickup.

 

CAMP ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Group Activities, Sharing, Games, Hiking, Music, Crafts, a Memorial Ceremony, and more.

Please note that we are looking for adult volunteers for the camp as well. All necessary training will be provided to you.
