They made my husband very comfortable and me too! Your caring and loving manners were very important and appreciated by all family and friends. Thanks to all!"

The Frederic H. Kass III, M.D. Endowed Scholarship Fund

History

Dr. Kass was one of the founders of Hospice of Washington County, Inc.  Since 1980 Dr. Kass has served as HWC’s only Medical Director. To honor Dr. Kass for his tireless  efforts, the Hospice of  Washington County Board of Directors established the Dr. Frederic H. Kass III Scholarship fund in 2005 in  celebration of HWC’s 25th  anniversary.  The fund was designed to support higher education for end-of-life care professionals of  Hospice of Washington County, Inc.

In 2010, during the 30th  Anniversary Celebration  of HWC, the fund was expanded and  endowed.  The Frederic H. Kass III, M.D.  Endowed Scholarship Fund was created.  Dozens of  individuals generously donated to the fund to honor Dr. Kass for his efforts over the past 30 years.  The  fund was  expanded to include all students in Washington County pursuing a  career in the healthcare field.
