Free Teen Grief Group
Teen Grief Group
Every Friday in June
Did you know that 1 in 5 children will experience the death of someone close to them by the age of 18*? It isn’t uncommon for teenagers to be more discrete in their grieving process, often leaving parents and caregivers feeling shut out and unable to help. Each Friday in June, Hospice of Washington County will hold a grief group just for teens (ages 13-19) at 747 Northern Avenue from 1:00pm-2:30pm. This is a free support group and will help teens meet peers who have also suffered a loss. In addition, group members will learn more about the grieving process and work on developing positive coping skills.
