“The Gift of Clarity”; Have Peace of Mind in the Present by Planning for the Future
As the New Year approaches, have you resolved to better plan for the future? Are you approaching retirement age and thinking about the next phase of life? Do you have questions about handling your parents’ estate or executing their will? Do you want to compile important family documents so they are easily accessible? If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then you should definitely attend “The Gift of Clarity: Wills, Power of Attorney and Managing Family Documents”, a complimentary half-day workshop hosted by Hospice of Washington County.
Three local experts will share pertinent information, participate in a panel discussion and answer questions submitted by participants.
- Jason Malott, Washington County’s Register of Wills will explain what to expect and what to bring when visiting the Register of Wills.
- Jordan Lysczek, a local estate attorney, will clarify legal terms such as “Power of Attorney” and “Executor” and discuss practical steps of making a will.
- Mary Helen Dennis, owner of My Confidant, Inc., will share tips and strategies for managing, storing and accessing important family legal and financial documents.
The Gift of Clarity will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Boonsboro Community Life Center, located at 28 North Main Street in Boonsboro, Maryland. The workshop, which will begin at 9:00 a.m., will culminate with lunch and an opportunity for participants to have one-on-one conversations with the presenters.
