This educational seminar is designed to provide insight into how grief affects children and adolescents. A child’s understanding of death changes as he/she develops. Therefore, it is important for adults to understand children’s perceptions of death, as well as common thoughts, feelings, and manifestations of their grief.

Adults who want to learn more and support children who are grieving a loss of a loved one are invited to this event. Parents, teachers, school counselors, or any other professionals who work with children are encouraged to attend this free workshop at HWC Northern Ave Office!

Please RSVP to register for the event.

Please call the HWC Bereavement Team at 301-791-6360 or e-mail Maria Reed at to register or to inquire with any questions.
