On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, individuals can help Doey’s House, HWC’s Children’s Bereavement Camp and all Hospice of Washington County’s programs and services during Washington County Gives, a 24-hour online giving event.

On this day, every donation Hospice of Washington County (HWC) receives will help HWC claim matching dollars and possible prizes to continue giving back to the Washington County community.

The funds generated by HWC the day of Washington County Gives will assist the vital programs and services of HWC including Doey’s House and DoveTales, HWC’s Children’s Bereavement Camp. Your donation will ensure that HWC will be able to provide end-of-life care and grief support to our community for future generations to come.

Individuals can make donations to HWC online from 12:00 a.m. to midnight on May 7th. Stop by HWC's office at 747 Northern Avenue between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. during “Donuts for Donors Hour”, make a donation of $10 or more and you will be treated to donuts. Stop by HWC between 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. for our “Power Hour”, make a donation of $10 or more and lunch will be provided to you. Computers will be set up, at Hospice, all day for online giving. There will also be a Early Bird Power Hour from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. During Power Hours, HWC could win matching dollars donated during those hours!

During Washington County Gives, donors who make an online donation to HWC of $50 or more will have their name in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate from a Greensburg Farm Market. Those who make a donation of $100 or more will receive a gift certificate for a potted plant from Greensburg Farm Market. Those who make a donation of $200 will be able to sponsor a youth camper for HWC’s DoveTales Children’s Bereavement Camp and those who donate $250 or more will be able to personalize a paver in honor of a loved one at Doey’s House. Donors $1,000 or more will have an opportunity to sponsor a tree in a loved one’s name at Doey’s House or honor an individual on the Veteran’s or First Responders Room. The link to make a donation on May 7th is:www.givegab.com/nonprofits/hospice-of-washington-county-md
