The Frederic H. Kass III, M.D. Endowed Scholarship Fund

History

Dr. Kass helped to establish Hospice of Washington County, Inc. in 1980. In 2005 to honor Dr. Kass’s tireless efforts, Hospice of Washington County’s Board of Directors began the Frederic H. Kass III, M.D. Scholarship Fund in celebration of HWC’s 25th Anniversary. The fund was designed to support higher education for end-of-life care professionals of Hospice of Washington County, Inc. In 2010, during the 30th Anniversary Celebration of HWC, the fund was expanded and endowed to create the Frederic H. Kass III, M.D. Endowed Scholarship Fund. Many individuals have generously donated to this fund. The fund was enlarged to include all students in Washington County pursuing a career in the healthcare field.
