Hospice Bereavement Services Move to Downtown Hagerstown
Hospice of Washington County moved its Bereavement Department to the Hagerstown Community Life Center (CLC), located at 20 W. Washington Street, 3rd floor. On Monday, January 30th, Hospice of Washington County will host an Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to celebrate this move.
“In addition to the support that Hospice of Washington County offers our patients and their families regarding end-of-life issues, we offer bereavement support to the families and to the community,” stated Eric G. Klimes, CEO of Hospice of Washington County. “With the continued growth of our organization, we are now housing our Bereavement Team at our Hagerstown Life Center. This will allow HWC to enhance services and serve a wider population by making it easier for many to access the team of counselors when there is a need.”
The Hagerstown Community Life Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to providing bereavement services, Hospice of Washington County invites individuals, groups and nonprofits to use the Community Life Center, at no cost, to offer programs, workshops and classes that benefit the community.
Members of the public are invited to attend the Open House. Staff will conduct tours and light refreshments will be served.
Cathy Campbell, Manager of Bereavement Services stated, “We encourage individuals to stop by and view our new location. You can meet our counselors and learn about our services that we provide to the community.”
