Mason Dixon Region AACA raises $14,167 for Doey’s House

The Third Annual C&O Canal Days Cruise-in Car Show presented by the Mason Dixon Region Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) raised $14,167 and is being donated to Hospice of Washington County (HWC) to help build Doey’s House. The event was in held in memory of Jone Bowman.

Mason Dixon Region AACA is based in Hagerstown and has activities year-round to promote the antique car hobby and to share information and friendship between antique car enthusiasts. The Antique Automobile Club of America is the largest and oldest automotive historical society in the United States. The AACA is international in character and organization. The local regions and chapters of the club are in nearly every state in the union and in a few foreign countries, and they run their own programs. The Mason Dixon Region has over 130 members.

Hospice of Washington County, Inc. (HWC) has provided end-of-life care to the residents of Washington County, Maryland, for thirty-six years. HWC serves an approximate 270 patients per day with 131 professional staff and 185 volunteers.

Doey’s House will be the first hospice house in Washington County. Doey’s House is anticipated open in Spring 2017.
