Building Relationships

Talking about death and end-of-life issues is not always easy, especially with strangers.  Nobody understands that more than Hospice of Washington County, Inc. (HWC).  When a loved one is critically ill, people don’t turn to strangers.  They turn to those they know, to those they trust.  This is precisely why HWC emphasizes the importance on building connections within the community long before our services are needed.

Through its outreach efforts, HWC establishes relationships with individuals, religious organizations, community groups, local nonprofits and governmental agencies with the goal of understanding and addressing the needs in our community.  In sharing Community Life Center office space with nonprofits and partnering with local agencies, HWC demonstrates its commitment to our community.

HWC proudly participates in many outreach efforts, including:

  • MLK Day of Service Business Basketball Tournament
  • National Night Out
  • Walk to End Child Abuse
  • Green Fest
  • Hispanic Festival
  • Canal Apple Days
  • Community Book Drive
  • Community Free Clinic Food Drive
