HWC 5K Walk/Run

"Hospice was very involved even though it was for only 10 days. The called me at home in the evening to give me emotional support. They stayed for many hours at the assisted living facility after Dad died to provide support. They attended the funeral. They provided equipment, hospital bed, and walker very quickly. They came out to meet the family within hours of the first phone call. They offered me assistance after dad died. They were wonderful!"

Nursing Care

Hospice Nurse-coordinates the individualized care plan and provides specialized hospice care (comfort) to the individual. He/she makes visits based upon the individual needs and at any time a nurse is available to assist with an emergent need 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 301-791-6360.

Certified Nursing Assistant-assists with personal care and light housekeeping services. Since they often have more frequent visits, their continual dialog with the team is vital.
