Jodi Finney wants to have fun, engage her mind and connect with others. “There are lots of people like me who are looking to learn new things and meet new people”, said Finney.   As a member of the Hancock CLC Advisory Council, Jodi knows that the Community Life Center provides FREE space to groups that benefit the community.   “I shared my idea with Stephanie May, a master at all sorts of handicraft and needlework (crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing etc…) and she agreed to help me.”   For her part, Stephanie May, a retired teacher says, “I enjoy doing crafts and teaching others.  It’s an excellent way to de-stress.”

Every Thursday, beginning on April 6th, the two women will lead a crafting club at the Hancock CLC, located in Town Hall on the second floor.  According to Finney, “The activities will be determined by the participants.  We are going to start off with crocheting but who knows what we will wind up doing next. I want those who join to feel they have a say in what the group does.”
