Hospice of Washington County Relocating Administrative Offices

Officials of Hospice of Washington County (HWC) recently announced that they will be relocating their Administrative Offices to 1710 Underpass Way in Hagerstown in early 2022. HWC’s current location is 747 Northern Ave. in Hagerstown and has resided there for over 20 years.

HWC is the only licensed provider for hospice care within Washington County and has served the community for over 40 years. HWC’s team of committed professionals understands the importance of ensuring that every individual can live their life to the fullest.

“During the pandemic along with other businesses and organizations, HWC was able to review its current location and needs,” stated HWC’s CEO Ernesto Lopez. “Many of our staff before the pandemic worked in a mobile manner caring for patients in their homes or where they called home. We found that we were not in need of the square footage that we currently have; but needed to find a location that was more central in Washington County. We could do this by downsizing and consolidating some of our offices including our LifeCare Services currently located in Boonsboro. This move will enable us to also upgrade our technology and lower costs. We are excited to begin this next step for HWC.” Mr. Lopez went on to add that Doey’s House, the only hospice inpatient unit in our community, will remain at 11370 Caring Pathway Lane in Hagerstown.

“I want to assure the community that this move will not affect our services in any way,” explained Mr. Lopez. “Our mission will remain the same quality end-of-life care for our community and will only be enhanced by this move.”
