Spring Remembrance Service

Hospice of Washington County and Franklin Hospice invite you and your family to participate in our Spring 2021 Virtual Service of Remembrance to remember and celebrate the lives of our loved ones who have passed. We will be honoring those who have passed away under our care and throughout the community from December 2020 to March 2021.

To add a frame to your Page's profile picture: Go to www.facebook.com/profilepicframes Search for a frame by entering the frame's keyword or "HWC." As shown below, for those who become a Dogwood Society Member, they can search the keyword "HWC Dogwood" and that frame will appear.

Frederic H. Kass III, M.D. Endowed Scholarship Fund Taking Applications   Applications for the 2023 Frederic H. Kass III, M.D. Endowed Scholarship Fund are now available. Dr. Kass is one of the founders of Hospice of Washington County, Inc. (HWC) which began in 1980 and has cared for our community for over 40 years.

Remembering Loved Ones This Holiday

Ways to Remember Your Loved Ones This Holiday Season Remembrance Trees Hospice of Washington County(HWC)’s Bereavement Staff invite you to honor and memorialize your loved one this holiday season through our Remembrance Trees. You may submit your loved ones name by emailing beravement@hospiceofwc.org, and a staff member will write the name of your loved one on an ornament that will be placed on our Remembrance Trees at our Administrative Office or Doey’s House through the month of December.

Lights for Love Reading of Names

Hospice of Washington County’s Lights for Love Event for 2020 was slightly different than in the past. We did a memorial drive instead of our traditional gathering and reading of the names due to COVID-19. We want to thank our Annual Gifts Committee and Development Staff for organizing the event, and thank our sponsors First Energy and Middletown Valley Bank. We hope as we do this virtual reading of names that this will give you comfort and peace as we enter into this holiday season.

DoveTales Children's Grief Camp Goes Virtual

Hospice of Washington County and Franklin Hospice will be hosting a virtual camp for children ages 6 to 13 who are coping with the death of a loved one. The camp is DoveTales and is an educational and nurturing experience for children to share their stories and meet others who understand.
