Survivors of Suicide Support Group

This group is a 6-week closed group for any adult who has experienced the suicide death of a loved one.   Group sessions will be held on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on April 3rd, April 10th, April 17th, April 24th, May 1st, May 8th 2019.

Hearts of Hope

These are on-going, open support groups, available to any adult who has experienced the death of a loved one. The group meets the first and third Monday of each month from 10:30am.-12:00 noon and second and fourth Thursday of each month from 5:30-7:00p.m.

Grief 101

This workshop provides an overview of the grieving process; including: common reactions to loss, how to cope, and how to help a person who is experiencing grief. To hold your spot in this workshop, please contact the Bereavement Department at (301) 791 - 6360.

Hospice of Washington County (HWC) is continuing to serve the community with Bereavement Services. HWC will host the Hearts of Hope Group via Zoom (an online video chat platform). Hearts of Hope is an on-going, open support group available to any adult who has experienced a death of a loved one.

February 13 and 20,  8:30am-4:00pm Hospice of Washington County is seeking reliable, compassionate volunteers to make visits to our terminally ill patients and families in their homes or nursing facilities.  Hospice of Washington County, Inc. volunteers are key members of the interdisciplinary team. Children and Teen Grief Seminar

  This educational seminar is designed to provide insight into how grief affects children and adolescents. A child’s understanding of death changes as he/she develops. Therefore, it is important for adults to understand children’s perceptions of death, as well as common thoughts, feelings, and manifestations of their grief.
